Well, sedikit aneh utk minggu ini temanya.. selain tidak ada mentor, para kontestan berhak memilih lagu favoritnya asal ada di list Top Downloads. Hmm… agak ngasal ya heheheheh..... intinya episode ini agak2 minim bugdet, kl gw pribadi sih kurang excited iya karena ngerasa kurang ada tantangannya aja tapi much better than night country hehehhe hal yg paling di uji dan paling di lihat di tema ini adalah " taste " dari kontestan, karena kita bisa melihat gimana sih kontestan2 itu memandang dan memilih sebuah lagu yang tepat untuk dirinya, kalo aku bilang sih ya gampang2 susah, paula pernah bilang kalau seorang artis bisa menemukan right choice song untuk dirinya dan bisa tampil bagus rasanya seperti seorang wanita yang menemukan jeans dengan ukuran yang sangat tepat di badannya dan rasanya akan sangat nyaman dan terlihat indah yhhh kayak gitu kali ya kira2 So, gimana penampilan mereka? Simak berikut ini…
1. Anoop Desai - “Caught Up” (by Usher)
RJ: You picked up your swagger. The vocals were cool but it wasn’t the right song for you.
KD: You gotta go up in your range and you played it safe. I feel a bunch of frat guys dared you to sing Usher.
PA: Wasn’t sure at first but glad you went back to the playful side. Your vocal sounded really good. Work on stage presence.
SC: I thought it was a complete and utter mess. You came over as a wannabe. No originality. It gave me a headache.
gw: Ouch, Anoop tampil pertama… dan seperti biasa, dia gak cocok banget bawain lagu yg sepertinya kurang ngetop nih. Watch out for the bottom 3! (6/10)
2. Megan Corkrey - “Turn Your Lights Down Low” (By Bob Marley / Lauryn Hill)"
KD: I really like you but I think you are in trouble. It’s just not the song choice for you.
PA: At this stage you need to take us by surprise.
SC: It was boring. The things we liked about you are disappearing. It wasn’t you.
RJ: It was like watching paint dry.
gw: Sayang banget Megan menyiakan2 kesempatan ini, mestinya dia bisa bawain singlenya Adele “Chasing Pavements” seperti kata Kara, tapi… penampilan Megan malam ini cukup ancur dan pastinya dia bakal membuat fans nya kecewa, mengingat dari berita2 yg gw denger megan punya banyak fans fanatik di amrik sono, duh show mlm ini terasa adem ayem persis sayur tanpa garam common we need somthing wow. (6/10)
3. Danny Gokey - “What Hurts The Most” (by Rascal Flatts)
PA: This is where you thrive. This is a performance I would hit repeat while in my car.
SC: This week I thought was your best performance. It was so much better than the first 2 performances tonight. This is what it is about.
RJ: Tonight’s show starts right here. Keep it moving. Very nice.
KD: You moved everyone in this room emotionally. You gave your heart and soul. I had goosebumps.
gw: ini baru the show american idol, Bawain lagu Country bukan pertama kali buat Danny. Tapi kali ini penampilan Danny bener2 keren! Emosinya dapat! dari semua penampilan danny gw plg dpt chemistrynya dan dpt touching nya br di performnya yg ini (9/10)
4. Allison Iraheta - “Don’t Speak” (by No Doubt)
RJ: Vocally you can sing. You were rushing the band. What are you wearing? I don’t get the ensemble tonight.
KD: The rock in you comes out no matter what you are wearing. Don’t try. You are a great singer. Good performance, not the best.
PA: You are serious about this. You are going right to the finish line.
SC: We can’t ignore the outfit, it is something from the Adam’s family. I thought it was a bit dressy uppy like a rockstar. You shouted the song.
gw: Gak nyangka ternyata Allison bisa main gitar, tapi sayang dia agak sedikit salah rhtym di awal lagu, dan kostumnya pun dicela2 oleh para juri… tapi overall not bad juga sih. (7/10)
5. Scott MacIntyre - “Just The Way You Are” (by Billy Joel)
KD: I think yo made some smart decisions tonight with that song. You sang to the audience and it came from an honest place. I love the new look.
PA: I am most proud of you out of all the contestants.
SC: Your best performance by a country mile so far. It is a different Scott with the Ryan Seacrest hair.
RJ: Your best performance and one of the best of the night.
gw: Akhirnya Scott tampil bagus malam ini, setelah sebelum2nya tampil agak boring, dan sekarang dia berhasil nunjukin kemampuannya walau masih tetep dgn pianonya. (7/10)
Matt Giraud - “You Found Me” by The Fray
PA: It became more of a sound a like. This wasn’t a great performance for you.
SC: It felt very put on, very uptight and not a good commercial song. I didn’t get it.
RJ: It was the wrong song for you. This was not you. You are not a rock singer.
KD: You keep going between the rock side and the R&B side. You need to pick one but you don’t deserve to go home
gw: Ugh, Matt Giraud lagi2 mengulangi “Viva La Vida” syndrome… terlalu mirip dgn versi aslinya dgn bawain Keyboard, Matt terkesan seperti karaoke ! wah2 bisa2 matt jadi tattiana versi cowoknya nie nyanyiin lagu yang sama dalam waktu yg dekat, hello list nya kan top download pasti ada ratusan lagu donk ngapain pilih lagu yg sama (6/10)
7. Lil Rounds - “I Surrender” (by Celine Dion)
RJ: Not have been my song choice but you sang it really really well. You have great vocal skills.
KD: When you go up there it is effortless. You are singer that can let it out and wow us.
PA: I wanna see the joy you brought to us when we first saw you.
SC: This was you picking a safe song. Found it similar to a wedding performance.
gw: Duh.. soal Vocal, Lil Round udah gak usah diragukan lagi.. buat gw ini adalah lagu dengan tantangan terbesar untuk vocalnya selama di american idol, tapi sayang dia tampil tuaaa banget.. liat aja baju dan juga rambutnya… begh! (8/10)
8. Adam Lambert - “Play That Funky Music” (by Wild Cherry)
PA: True genius shatters expectations.
SC: That was very brave. At least we get rid of some of the karaoke we have had tonight. It was original.
RJ: You got that voice, you worked it out.
KD: It’s like Studio 57 in here.
gw: Wohoho… Adam tampil lepas… teriak2 sesukanya.. dan seperti juri juga suka, tapi buat gw lebih suka dia tampil seperti minggu lalu. (7/10)
9. Kris Allen - Ain’t No Sunshine (by Bill Withers)
RJ: For the last couple of weeks you have been slaying it. You are in the zone.
KD: That is artistry.
PA: You took a 30 year old song and made it like I heard it for the first time.
SC: You brought confidence tonight. Very clever, very cool. Best performance so far.
gw: Sepertinya, secara musikalitas Kris paling jago. Dengan bawain Keyboard dan versi nya sendiri, Kris Allen tampil memukau malam ini! dan terbukti kris paling punya taste yang bagus love...love...love (8/10)
malam ini para kontestan secara keseluruhan OK! tapi gw pribadi sangat menyayangkan megan, padahal di tema ini gw berharap megan bisa cemerlang mengingat penampilan kemarin megan sudah redup, dan malam ini menurut gw miliknya danny dan kriss alen, dua cowok yg cute dan pastinya menyedot vote paling banyak, untuk bottom 3 nya Anoop Desai, Megan Joy Corkrey, Matt Giraud secara logika sih prediksi gw megan yg bakal pulang tapi pengennya aku anoop atau matt aja mengingat kontestan ceweknya tinggal dikit, dan ngga tau kenapa gw msh berharap megan bisa tampil habis2an, mungkin faktor X nya megan terlalu besar merasuk di pikiran gw kali ya....

Kalo minggu lalu mah' michael sarver gue setuju banget! paling engga ada "greget-nya". Suaranya biasa,song choice nothing special,performance... certainly didn't look like a singer! tampangnya...bener2x "kulit putih kampung"/ hillbilly / redneck,etc whatever you wanna call him. hehe Engga ada singing quality-nya!
Lagipula,juri buat apa di kasih "kekuasaan" tuk'save the eliminated contestant kalo engga pernah di pake?
