Leona Louise Lewis
(lahir 3 April 1985; umur 23 tahun) merupakan seorang penyanyi berkebangsaan Inggris yang menjadi terkenal saat menjadi pemenang dalam reality show menyanyi di Inggris The X Factor. Dia dilahirkan di Stoke Newington. Dia berkarir di dunia musik sejak tahun tahun 2002.
Pada tahun 2006, ia mengikuti kontes menyanyi The X-Factor dimana ia menjadi kontestan favorit para juri, termasuk Simon Cowell. Ia menunjukkan kualitas suara dahsyatnya dalam kontes tersebut. Bahkan ia disandingkan dengan diva-diva papan atas dunia, seperti Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, dan Christina Aguilera. Leona sanggup mencapai not-not pada oktaf ke-enam. Dalam salah satu episode ia menyanyikan "Summertime", dimana Simon Cowell menyatakan bahwa ia adalah kontestan terbaik yang pernah ada di antara kontes-kontes menyanyi lainnya. Leona melaju ke babak final dan ia menyanyikan lagu "All By Myself" dan sekali lagi para juri memujinya. Simon mengatakan bahwa nada terakhir tersebut akan membuat Leona menang di X-Factor. Dan ternyata Leona memenangkan kontes tersebut. Hidup telah berubah bagi gadis dari Hackney ini.
Pada tahun 2007 ia mengeluarkan album pertamanya, Spirit, dengan produser Simon Cowell yang bekerja sama dengan Clive Davis, orang yang telah menemukan Whitney Houston dan membuatnya terkenal. Album ini telah menghasilkan 2 single, yaitu "Bleeding Love" dan "Better In Time/Footprints In The Sand". Bleeding Love menjadi #1 hits di puluhan negara, termasuk Amerika Serikat. Ia menjadi satu-satunya penyanyi dari Inggris dalam 20 tahun yang dengan single pertamanya mencapai #1 hits di tangga lagu Amerika. Leona juga memecahkan rekor karena ia adalah penyanyi pertama dari Inggris yang album pertamanya berhasil mencapai puncak tangga album Amerika dengan 204.000 kopi terjual dalam 1 minggu.

“The last two years have been an unbelievable experience for me. So to have it documented in pictures and to be able to tell people in my own words what it feels like means a lot to me.”“I know the book will be full of special moments and I’m already having a brilliant time putting it together.”

According to new reports, Simon Cowell feels that Leona isn’t ready just yet to go on a big tour. He says she is still too shy and he wants her to be completely ready and confident before performing in big arenas to thousands of fans.
A source told The Sun: “Although Simon believes in Leona as a world-class solo singer, he still feels she does not have enough confidence to play to large crowds on her own.
“There is certainly a real art to getting the audience in the palm of your hand as entertainers as Mariah (Carey), Robbie Williams and Elton John can do. Leona is Simon’s little baby and he is very aware of how shy she is.”
