Synopsis

Ivan (Sean) has been searching an answer to a lifetime question: Where will we be after the present life?

On the way, he went thru a difficult passion with Windson (Osman), a straight guy, made a longtime friendship with Josh (Jackie), a Palestinian, experienced the death of his beloved elderly, witness the wedding of his brother (Hong) and the birth of a nephew.

Eventually he designed a permanent residence at his own soil to host all his love ones for the next life, in case there is any, while his friend Josh created a home at the Dead Sea for those not so much loved.


The film was shot in Israel, Japan, Australia, Thailand and mainland China, thanks to the beautiful camera work of Herman, a director who has shot over 100 films. However, the beauty of my films always rest with the actors. Sean said he would really fall in love with Osman and win his heart if necessary, and I reckon their performance should win the hearts of many audiences, men or women, gay or straight.

"Permanent Residence" is for those of you who believe love can survive life.

btw ada yang koment THE READER masuk kok kan udah diputer disini..
MILK mungkin susah ya karena orang sini gak ngerti /kenal si Harvey Milk itu jadi gak bisa relate...
Waktu aku ke HK pas ke satu toko lagi ada press con-nya Permanent Residence (ada book/dvd signing etc) ternyata ini toh filmnya....

overall, cukup baik. walopun dari segi cerita rada aneh, tapi ketutup oleh akting Sean Li yang mumpuni. scene nudity nya cukup banyak, tapi tidak berkesan cheap. masih lebih ok Shelter, tapi layak tonton lah..

both of guys are not really my type, but i do heart the storyline..
been thinking bout the same question myself.

oh..n btw the thing i hate d most bout this movie is the soundtrack.. Boy.. that Osman Hung ruined Truly Madly Deeply... males banget dengernya..
