From its early days as a one day street party, Birmingham Gay and Lesbian Pride has grown into the countries biggest FREE Gay festival spanning over three days, and raising thousands of pounds for worthy gay and lesbian community groups in the West Midlands.
Launched on the Saturday evening, a flamboyant and high profile Carnival Parade winds its way through Birmingham City Centre down to the Gay Village in Hurst Street, watched by thousands of shoppers.
On the parades arrival in the Gay Village the streets come alive with three days of free entertainment with mini-arenas, market stalls, fun fair and street entertainment. The event encapsulates a real party atmosphere, and not only hosts a number of live performers and DJ’s, but also provides a place for a family picnic on the increasingly popular community village green.
We look forward to welcoming
